Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. Of the nearly 143,000 businesses in metro Atlanta, nearly 95 percent employ fewer than 50 employees. And two-thirds of new job growth in metro Atlanta is from small business. Small business owners play a key role in America’s economic recovery. to Focus on Sub-Clusters
 
Two leadership councils have been formed to laser-focus attention on the technology and bioscience niche markets. The New Economy Task Force, launched by the Chamber in 2009, identified that metro Atlanta has the key ingredients for successfully developing the technology and bioscience markets. Full story.
